Designing Homes or Designing Experiences?

February 9, 2017 By Ashley No Comments

As I promised, time for the big news! After a lot of thought and contemplation, I’ve decided to move most of my business towards … designing a client’s experience rather than only designing homes! Hi-3The importance of a well designed client experience has been something that I’ve been interested in for ages. Even as a teenager I loved and appreciated how meticulously designed and managed a well-run hotel, restaurant, or even retail store was. At one point I entertained ideas of becoming a hotel critic, a luxury hotel manager, or even a Target store manager.

No matter what business it was, I loved the endless thought put into how a client experiences a business. Putting thought into every interaction, personal, online, or with the physical location of a business is fascinating to me. And when I became fascinated by interior decorating as well, it became the perfect marriage. Understanding the aesthetics of interior design, and the psychology of a customer’s designed experience.

So, from now on, I’ll be pairing the two. Ashley Uhl Interiors is being refreshed to not only offer decorating advice and services, but also customer experience management advice and services to home decor bloggers, online designers, and in home designers. I’m ready to combine my two great interests and help you along the way. As such, the blog will reflect the change. But don’t worry, it won’t be boring. It will have as much excitement and intrigue as you can handle!  Are you ready?
